Advances in quantum computing are expected to have significant implications for the security of digital communications, particularly for systems that rely on currently deployed public-key cryptography. Preparing for the transition to quantum-safe technologies therefore requires coordinated action across governments, industry, academia, standards organisations, and the broader technical community.
The Global Quantum Drill will provide a collaborative and controlled environment in which participating organizations can assess their preparedness, examine simulated quantum-related cybersecurity scenarios, exercise coordination mechanisms, and exchange practical experience related to the transition towards quantum-safe communications.
