CRITICAL TARGETS ASSESED

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and UAE CSC have launched the Global CyberDrill, with the aim of bringing together with 100+ National Cyber Security Authorities, National Cyber Security agencies, as well as National  CERTs/CIRTs/CSIRT from around the world to foster global cooperation and partnership in mitigating cyber threats.

Hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, and led by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government the Global CyberDrill will focus on highlighting the crucial role played by national cybersecurity centers and computer emergency response teams (CERTs) worldwide in enhancing cyber resilience and safeguarding critical information infrastructure.

BREAKING DOWN THE DRILL OBJECTIVES

  • Enhance cybersecurity capacity and capabilities through regional collaborations and cooperation.
  • Improving countries’ readiness to engage in and support cyber threat defense strategies
  • Boosting global cooperation among  ITU Members to combat cyber threats.
  • Enhance  ITU Member States’ incident response capabilities and communication.
  • Aiding  ITU Member States in refining cyber incident response procedures for better readiness and effectiveness.
