At GISEC GLOBAL 2025, now underway in Dubai, key discussions have centered on leveraging AI to build secure, resilient infrastructures and reshape the future of the cybersecurity industry.
Running under the theme “Securing an AI-Powered Future,” the annual event has drawn more than 750 leading cybersecurity companies, 450 global Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), prominent futurists, and 25,000 attendees from over 160 countries, according to the organisers.
H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, delivered a powerful address highlighting the need to harness AI, address geopolitical challenges, and safeguard the nation’s digital future
He disclosed a striking figure — the UAE faces over 200,000 cyberattacks each day, with government entities remaining the main targets.
He said: “Cybersecurity has become an integral part of everything that we do, and the UAE is already moving towards becoming an AI-nation in cybersecurity. There are so many great pillars as part of our UAE National Cybersecurity Strategy that focus on governance, innovation, defense and protection – all of which remain vital [for the future].”
The event has united leading industry giants such as Huawei, AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud Security, CISCO, Deloitte, Kaspersky, Check Point, Cloudflare, and Honeywell, alongside pioneering cybersecurity firms including Spire Solutions, CPX, CyberKnight, LinkShadow, OPSWAT, Qualys, CrowdStrike, and StrikeReady
