We identified APIs as the weakest security link—vital to operations but often left unprotected. Our """"aha"""" moment came when we realized the need to build an AI that could defend APIs as effectively as the human immune system defends the body. The breakthrough came when we won a major government tender that required on-prem, air-gapped API protection, validating our AI-native approach as the future of API security. One of our biggest challenges was proving the power of AI security while ensuring no data leaves the client. To solve this, we built a fully autonomous, air-gapped system that operates without sending data to the cloud. Looking ahead, Ammune.ai is set to become the gold standard for API security, especially within critical infrastructure. Our work securing national infrastructure and banks across the GCC with zero-day API protection has already proven that our AI-driven solution far surpasses traditional legacy vendors.
