Nation stage   -Qatar Hall 8 Presentation: Cyber security of next generation healthcare in Qatar NATION STAGE - Hall 8 The session will summarize the findings of the recently completed nationally funded research project, aiming at providing a comprehensive framework for hardening the security and privacy of healthcare data acquired by recent Internet of Things (IoT) based medical devices (also referred to as the Internet of Medical Things, or IoMT in short). With the development of a secure IoMT and multi-cloud-based modern healthcare technology, Qatar can look forward to drastically reducing its healthcare expenditures. IoMT systems have some security concerns, such as loss of devices, tampering with wireless communication, and falsifying the information transmitted by the sensors. This project aims to solve that problem by studying the currently security architecture of the healthcare systems and providing secure IoT based healthcare solution for the Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar.

Nation stage   -Saudi Hall 8 Importance of Design Thinking & Trust to Enable Businesses in Value Creation NATION STAGE - Hall 8 Businesses exist and sustain to create value within the society, therefore if the pretext of value creation is eliminated then so does the concept of Information Security & Privacy. It is therefore pivotal for Information Security & Privacy leadership to understand what drives and sustains business. Fundamentally, the notion of having the best security is not appropriate by any means. The term “best security” is subjective in nature and in having the “best security” in place, the security may begin to strangulate the business, negatively affecting the velocity of business operations.
